Joseph P. Dailey  

Professional Bio

Mr. Dailey has over thirty years experience as lead counsel in complex federal and state court actions. A member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, Mr. Dailey has appeared in trial and appellate courts in over 25 states including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Texas, Ohio, Delaware, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida, Minnesota, Maine, New Hampshire, and the District of Columbia, as well as courts in Australia, Switzerland, Germany, and Canada. Together with Ms Selznick, Mr. Dailey has published articles on actuarial malpractice, which are currently used for training purposes by the Casualty Actuarial Society, and published an article on SEC disclosure rules for property and casualty insurers. Mr. Dailey has been a featured speaker at numerous business and professional forums, including Mealey's Insurance Insolvency & Reinsurance Roundtable. Mr. Dailey began his career at Breed Abbott & Morgan in 1969 and was elected partner in 1977. He was later a partner at Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan and the New York City office of Winston & Strawn. Mr. Dailey received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences of Georgetown University in 1966 and his Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown Law Center in 1969, where he was a member of the Georgetown Law Journal. He was admitted to practice in New York in 1970.
